Chocolate Covered Cookie Dunkers

These crazy delicious cookies are begging for a wholesome glass of milk!

"Because when your milk is naturally easy to digest, life is easy to digest"
There are few simple pleasures in life that never get old, like dunking a cookie into a rich and soothing glass of milk. No matter how old you are, there is something delicious and totally comforting about it: whether it's cold and refreshing, or hot and foamy milk; for a hearty breakfast in the morning, a fun afternoon snack, or an after-dinner guilty pleasure.
There are studies out there that show that cookies actually taste better when dipped. I read there are compounds found in baked goods that are released in the mouth and nose if dunked.
See?!?! There are very good reasons why we all love cookies with milk.

How to Make the Perfectly Flaky and Buttery Homemade Pie Crust

Elevate your pie-making skills this holiday season with this
easy-to-follow, made-from-scratch pie crust

Baking is a fundamental part of the holiday season.
Just like the expensive shopping sprees, the never ending Christmas songs on the radio, and the bright decorations all over town. We all go crazy for it (some of us more literally then others!), but we just can't do without any of it :)
I'm pretty sure we can all agree that dinner wouldn't be the same without a fat slice of pie at the end. Whether it's a comforting apple pie, an irresistible strawberry rhubarb pie, or the most classic pecan pie, pies are always welcomed at any table. Anytime!

But your pie is only as good as the pie crust that you are able to whip up. So what you need this holiday season, is a fool-proof recipe that yields the perfectly buttery and flaky crust. Every. Single. Time.
So here is my recipe. Consider this my early Christmas present, just for you...You are very welcome :)

White Wine Chicken & Couscous by SMARTMADE™

How do you incorporate healthy and balanced eating into a busy lifestyle?

I simply love making dinner completely from scratch. I like the soothing process of mixing ingredients, the simple pleasure of tasting while cooking, licking the bowl and having the first bite. And how about the scent of freshly baked goodies drifting from the kitchen?!? So comfy and mouthwatering.

But (there is always a but!)... Life gets busy.
And sometimes making from scratch a balanced and nutritious meal is just not possible. How many times do I forget to eat lunch until it's almost time to pick up the kids from school?!? Just because I'd been running around all morning, between doing laundry and chores, working out and getting some actual work done.
These are the times when I need a smart choice for a healthy, filling and quick lunch. Like this veggie, chicken and couscous dish.

Homemade Chocolate Chip - Coconut Scones

Stay warm and snuggle up to these flavorful scones next to a steamy hot cup of tea
Good news!
If you are reading this post it means you have survived. Yes, you survived the craziness of the holidays, the busy week of planning and cooking, and a whole day of indulging in the (hopefully!) amazing dishes you created.
AND today, you still feel like baking. Ha! I'm with you on this one:)
If not right now, you should save and try this recipe on the first occasion. Because these are all you love about scones. Buttery and crumbly. Perfectly dense and a bit cakey on the inside. Every bite exploding with satisfying chocolate chips and naturally sweet shredded coconut. And that's not all. Almond slices and sugar sprinkles are the added bonus on top.

Thanksgiving Sweet Potatoes with Marshmallows

What's your favorite Thanks giving side dish?!?
Get ready to dive into this one!

I know everyone loves their turkey at Thanksgiving. We all do. But Thanksgiving would not be the same with just turkey.
You've got to have all the other side dishes too. Healthy green beans, brussels sprouts and comforting roasted potatoes.
You've got to have the savory stuffing and rich gravy.
And what about corn bread and cranberry sauce?!? You can't forget about those.
So many things to choose from... Thank goodness when it comes to any average holiday feast you don't have to play favorites. You've got them all on the table. Just sit back, pile it all up on your plate, and indulge yourself.

My kids' must-have side dish is this one. And for very good reasons.
Look at these mashed sweet potatoes topped with toasted marshmallows. The picture says it all.
