Bakery-Style Cranberry-Orange Muffins

Wake up to the inviting aroma of just-baked muffins, right from your oven
Every bite is filled with the fresh flavor of cranberries and a hint of sweet oranges

These homemade, bakery-style muffins are a sure way of perking up your morning.
Bursting with fresh cranberries and juicy oranges. Soft and delicious. Fruity and sweet.
I really love the flavor combination of oranges and cranberries. The sweet and tangy complementing and enhancing each other. So good by themselves. And yet, so much better together.

Vegetarian Potato Lasagna

The ultimate comfort food
Hot, melty, cheesy and potato-y vegetarian lasagna
Perfect for these cold winter days

Happy New Year everyone!
I hope your holidays were relaxing, fun-filled, and as delicious as mine. If you follow me on Instagram (DO YOU?!? ... if not, you better click here  now!), you might know I went back home to Venezia, Italy visiting family, eating lots of great food, and skiing up in the mountains. As usual, I had an amazing time. Here is a photo summary that says it all :)

I'm now back, recharged, and ready for a new year filled with delicious dishes and exciting new recipes.
So, let's get started!

Chilly and rainy days are perfect for baking, especially when we are talking about a light, vegetarian and deliciously wholesome lasagna stuffed with tender potatoes, sauteed mushrooms and delicate besciamella sauce. And let's not forget: lots of cheese!

Vanilla Christmas Tree Cakes with Custard Cream

Let's celebrate the holidays with these cute Christmas tree vanilla cakes
stuffed with rich custard cream, and decorated with colorful sprinkles
Remember my Christmas tree dessert?!?
I've posted this recipe before, and I thought you would like to see it again. After all, these little tree cakes are super cute, very festive and they will surely impress all your holiday guests. Made with moist vanilla cake layers, covered with velvety and rich custard cream, and decorated with red, green and white sugar sprinkles and a dash of powdered sugar.
And that's not all. This dessert is quite easy to prepare and approachable for everyone.  You don't need to be a master pastry chef to pull these off. Check out my step-by-step recipe down here, and this quick video.

Puff Pastry-Pecan Mini Tarts Topped with Caramelized Pecan Halves

Make your holidays sweeter with these mini pecan pies
Deliciously small and perfectly unshareable!
This post is sponsored by Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry. All opinions are mine.
Thank you for your support!
Who says that dessert should be shared?!? Oh no. Sometimes it's nice to selfishly enjoy every last, tiny little crumb of it. Especially when it's as yummy and cute as these mini pecan pies.
They are the perfectly unshareable, two-bite size dessert. All, just for you!
But here is a warning. These are so good it might be hard to stop and only have one. So when you are serving them at your next holiday party (I know you will once you see how easy and quick the recipe is) make sure to bake enough. Because everyone will want to go for seconds.

Chocolate Covered Cookie Dunkers

These crazy delicious cookies are begging for a wholesome glass of milk!

"Because when your milk is naturally easy to digest, life is easy to digest"
There are few simple pleasures in life that never get old, like dunking a cookie into a rich and soothing glass of milk. No matter how old you are, there is something delicious and totally comforting about it: whether it's cold and refreshing, or hot and foamy milk; for a hearty breakfast in the morning, a fun afternoon snack, or an after-dinner guilty pleasure.
There are studies out there that show that cookies actually taste better when dipped. I read there are compounds found in baked goods that are released in the mouth and nose if dunked.
See?!?! There are very good reasons why we all love cookies with milk.
